About Lillbacka Powerco
In the early 1970s, Jorma Lillbacka identified a problem. The Finnish entrepreneur, then only in his 20s, had founded his subcontracting company, Lillbackan Konepaja (Lillbacka Machine Shop), in 1969. During customer visits, he noticed that crimping hose fittings was laborious and time-consuming. He began looking for a machine that would streamline the process – only to discover that no such solution existed. Without hesitation, he decided: “Well, we’ll just have to make one ourselves.”
A Global Leader in Crimping Technology
More than 55 years later, Finn-Power has grown into a global leader in crimping technology. Each year, we manufacture thousands of machines for hose crimping, material joining and forming, expansion and calibration, as well as for cutting, skiving, inserting, and marking. All our products are designed and manufactured in Finland. From there – with the support of our global distributor network and our U.S. subsidiary Lillbacka USA – around 95% are delivered to more than 60 countries worldwide.
A symbol of quality
For decades, Finn-Power has stood as a symbol of quality. Our machines are built on extensive experience and manufactured from high-quality components – with the most critical parts produced in-house. They are known for their exceptionally long service life, reliable performance, and minimal maintenance requirements, making them your most profitable investment. In fact, some of the crimping machines we produced in the 1970s are still in operation today.

We are not only a machine manufacturer. We support our customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their machines – from selecting the right solution to extending the machine’s lifetime. We also provide original spare parts and service, even for machines that have been in use for decades.
Over the years, we have built extensive expertise across a wide range of industries and applications. These include aerospace, tube and pipe manufacturing, automotive, electrical, agriculture and forestry, and security and defense, among many others. While applications vary, Finn-Power solutions are used wherever materials need to be crimped, joined, or formed – such as in hydraulic hose production and repair, pipe calibration, attaching ferrules to ropes, making slip-fit connections, and more.
