Sales Manager Marco Terzi from Zinetti Technologies represents Finn-Power in Italy. Zinetti Technologies was born with Finn-Power: the companies’ cooperation dates back to the 90’s, which is when Zinetti was founded. The cooperation that once started with sheet metal machines is now a strong crimping machine partnership. Terzi joined the Zinetti team in 1998 and has worked with Finn-Power products ever since.
“I first started out as a technician. I developed a strong understanding for Finn-Power products and was soon asked to take the lead with our business in the crimping sector. Today, you could say I know almost everything you can know about Finn-Power products.”
Terzi believes him specializing in the Finn-Power brand, along with his technical background, has enabled him to achieve success as a distributor. Terzi finds it beneficial that a distributor has a wide but defined scope of products and accessories that complement each other. It enables distributors to provide complete solutions for customers. For Terzi, providing efficient service is also one of the key characteristics of a strong distributor.
“The best part about being a Finn-Power distributor is the brand’s reputation and respect it has on the market. People in Italy and outside of Italy view Finn-Power as the Ferrari of crimpers. High quality is a mindset for the Finnish: when they do something, they do it as well as possible. I consider myself lucky to be able to represent the brand.”
Customer Needs Initiate Product Development
In September 2022, Lillbacka arranged their highly anticipated Training Academy for distributors. The event had over 50 participants joining from more than 20 countries. The purpose of the Training Academy was to strengthen the distributors’ expertise and to physically bring together the Finn-Power family. Due to his unmatched expertise, Terzi had the honor of being on the trainers’ side of the table.
“In Italy, there has been more demand for products that can handle Industry 4.0 characteristics. It has pushed me to become an expert especially regarding Finn-Power’s Intelligent Crimping Control, which is Industry 4.0 compatible. This expertise combined with my long career, technical background and the fact that I work directly with end customers and am familiar with their needs led me to become a trainer in the Academy. It was a terrific event: it was good to see so many people gathered together.”
Additional Services Arouse Interest: Finn-Power Unit to be Strengthened
In the future, Zinetti Technologies plans on strengthening their Finn-Power unit with new experts. Customers are more and more interested in services such as annual service contracts, which gives Zinetti the opportunity to increase their capacity.
“The more connected we are to Lillbacka, the more it adds to our brand. With companies that use crimpers in their production, I would say 8 or 9 out of 10 use Finn-Power machines. If customers are looking for serious-performance machines that function for decades even with minimal operator attention, they choose Finn-Power.”
During the 30 years of cooperation between Lillbacka and Zinetti, a lot of changes have occurred in the industry. However, according to Terzi, some things have remained the same throughout the years:
“A nice balance of attention to people, predisposition to change and related adaptability as well as passion for what you do.
