The 4th Lillbacka Training Academy was held in late September. 51 Finn-Power representatives from 20 countries all over the world travelled to Härmä, Finland. For 3 days, the representatives immersed themselves in Finn-Power machines, features and updates while also providing Lillbacka with their valuable information and insight.
For over 25 years, Sunway Group has represented Finn-Power in Asia. In this article, you’ll discover Sunway Marketing (S) Pte Ltd.’s Senior General Manager Eugene Quah’s expectations for the Academy, their views on Lillbacka’s latest technological leaps and the reasons behind their long-term collaboration with Lillbacka.
From Singapore to the Finnish Countryside
For Senior General Manager Eugene Quah, 2024 marked the 3rd participation in the Lillbacka Training Academy. Together with Sunway Group representatives William Huan and Aliang Suardi, Quah travelled to the Finnish countryside all the way from Singapore.
“We have been looking forward to meeting both new and familiar faces and learning more about the latest developments of Finn-Power machines. The previous Lillbacka Training Academies have been a success. Even though the travel is long, we choose to prioritize being here.”
At the training stages, Quah was especially eager to learn more about Lillbacka’s marking technology and ICC™ (Intelligent Crimping Control) – the world’s only control system specifically designed for crimping machines. ICC™ ensures superb accuracy and repeatability, with an automatic correction function that eliminates the need for machine calibration.
“In Asia, our customer base ranges from shop owners to a significant number of OEMs. As our customers become increasingly technology-driven, manufacturers like Lillbacka must evolve alongside them. We consider Lillbacka’s ICC™ to be their current leading technological advancement.”
“These machines have been built to last”
Sunway Group’s Finn-Power product selection ranges from the FP production series to the heavy-duty King Crimpers. Quah accumulates Sunway Group’s success as Finn-Power distributor to service: when the customer is provided with a positive experience – whether related to deliveries, support or training – a distributor is positioned for success. Quah himself has 34 years of experience with Finn-Power machines. When asked why he has worked with the brand for such a long time, Quah’s answer is simple: quality.
“Customers purchase Finn-Power machines for their quality. There is virtually no after-sales needed. These machines have been built to last.”
Quah is pleased for the long-term collaboration between Sunway Group and Lillbacka – two family businesses from opposite sides of the world.
“At this point, our long-term partnership can be called a friendship. We will continue growing the Finn-Power business together as partners and friends.”
