For as long as CEO Jarkko Niku can remember, Finn-Power crimpers have been an integral part of the operations of Nivalan Konevaruste, a Finnish machine, equipment, and hydraulics store. Over the past 15 years, hydraulics has grown to become one of the business’s cornerstones. On October 15th of last year, at 1:48 in the morning, Nivalan Konevaruste faced a major accident – one that would become one of the most significant challenges in the company’s history.
“A fire broke out in our store, and by morning, our entire 1,050 m² facility had burned to the ground. The store, filled with spare parts, tools, equipment, and machines, was completely destroyed. Nothing could be salvaged – not even our trusted Finn-Power crimpers.”

“I decided it was best to stick to a Finnish, tried-and-true machine. I originally thought of a smaller machine, but a colleague of mine recommended the FP120, saying that that machine will last me until my retirement. I have no doubt that without the fire, it would have. That is why replacing our destroyed machine with another FP120 was an obvious choice.”
