The fact that a small machine shop founded in the Finnish countryside in 1969 has evolved into a world-leading global crimping machine manufacturer did not happen without one particular thing – passion. Our passion for quality, for solving challenges, and for fearlessly pushing forward runs throughout the entire company – from the machinist manufacturing components at our factory to top management – and from 1969 to this day.
Difficulties Are Just Part of the Journey
The roots of our passion lie in the mindset of our founding family, the Lillbackas. When something has been passionately set out to be done – whether building the world’s best crimping machines, building our own amusement park, or heading out on a service trip in the company airplane – it has been done. And if obstacles have appeared along the way, they have been treated simply as matters to solve, addressed, and the journey has continued. Failures have been viewed as results that show that this is not the best way to do this. This attitude, which has spread throughout our company culture, gives our people the space and peace of mind to work, to make mistakes, and through that – develop into the best in the world.

The passion we have for our work can be seen as long careers and as deep commitment to individual areas of expertise. Whether in manufacturing, design, sales, or technical support, every contribution is driven by the desire to deliver the right solution or service to the customer. If heated discussions ever take place within our company, they happen precisely because everyone cares deeply enough to want to contribute to defining what that right solution or service should be. Passion for our work also extends to our distributors, some of whom have built their entire livelihood around us for decades. To our delight, we have noticed that our customers, too, feel passion and pride in Finn-Power machines.

People’s passion creates the world’s best products. Our machines are built from the best components and equipped with carefully selected features that genuinely add value for our customers. Our passion is also evident in the fact that we have invested in usability and in a streamlined, elegant appearance from the very beginning – even when such things were hardly considered important in production equipment.
For us, success is not created at the moment a deal is made, but when we meet a customer years later and they say “We really like these machines of yours”. Customers’ satisfaction with the long-lasting quality and repeat accuracy of the machine, and them being able to realize the added value it brings in practice, is our passion. That is where the phrase “absolute quality is our passion” comes from. And absolute quality is not achieved without critical thinking: we are healthily self-critical and believe that things can always be done better. That is why no delivery is ever routine or taken for granted.
